The inspiring tale of a runaway foster child who will stop at nothing to live with the only family she knows: her father.

Tayler Buck is Alicia, a runaway foster child who just wants to be with her dad, Bo, a homeless, mentally ill vet who's been living on the streets in LA's notorious skid row. She's taken in by foster families both noble (Martin Sheen is wonderful in a small role as one foster parent who feels a particular connection to Alicia), and opportunistic. But she just wants to be with her dad. Just wants to help him, despite all the odds stacked against them.

Shining a light on issues of homelessness, poverty, PTSD, mental illness, the foster system, and so much more, PRINCESS OF THE ROW is ultimately a film about love, family, and the beautiful, if terribly fractured, relationship between a daughter and her father.

PRINCESS OF THE ROW is one of the great discoveries of this year's festival - and it also happens to be one of the most emotional, most beautifully acted movies of 2019. Lead actress Tayler Buck delivers a pitch perfect, star-making performance that defies all expectations - and there's no doubt we'll be seeing a lot more of this young woman in the years to come.
