Created by Oscar® award-winning BreakThru films, MAGIC PIANO tells the story of a girl and young boy’s adventure of discovery across Europe aboard a magic flying piano. This performance also includes four Chopin Shorts: short films in contrasting visual style, each set to Chopin Études. The entire family will enjoy this Calgary Opera premiere accompanied by live piano.


MAGIC PIANO is presented by Calgary Opera, as part of the 19th annual Calgary International Film Festival’s Music on Screen Series, and in partnership with Honens International Piano Competition, and Studio Bell – home of the National Music Centre.


Schedule:

Two screenings will take place at Studio Bell – home of the National Music Centre on September 28, 2018, with shows starting at 6:30PM and 8:30PM.
