12 years after he committed a murder, Luo Hongwu returns to his hometown Kaili to track down the femme fatale Wan Quiwen (Tang Wei, LUST, CAUTION) for whom he did the killing. His journey leads him down a labyrinth filled with surprises, some of which transcend the boundaries of space and time.
