Year 2017
Runtime 117 mins

Robin and Diana Cavendish defy expectations and refuse to let a deadly diagnosis hold them back in this uplifting love story.

Young and in love, Robin (Andrew Garfield, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) and Diana (Claire Foy, THE CROWN) have a storybook romance - but that all changes when Robin is struck down by polio at just 28 years old. Bedridden by the disease, he is confined to a hospital and given only a few months to live. Frustrated by this injustice, they enlist the help of Diana's twin brothers (Tom Hollander) and the groundbreaking ideas of inventor Teddy Hall (Hugh Bonneville), and dare to escape the hospital ward to seek out a full and passionate life together - raising their young son, traveling and devoting their lives to helping other polio patients.

Based on a true story, BREATHE is a heartwarming celebration of the potential of our love for each other. It is the directorial debut of famed stage and motion capture actor Andy Serkis (THE LORD OF THE RINGS), and Robin and Diana's real-life son Jonathon Cavendish is a producer.
