Preparing for the biggest game of their lives, tennis coach André (Pierre Benoist) and his star player Stéph (Maia Levasseur-Costil) kidnap rogue soldier Ralph (James Northcote, THE IMITATION GAME) out of a post-apocalyptic world war in order to train for "The Open". Attempting to find normality in chaos, the trio trains hard – without proper rackets, or even any tennis balls – among the fighter jets flying overhead in the middle of nowhere. Beautifully shot within the stunning scenery of the Isle of Skye, THE OPEN is a story of persistence, discovery and finding new family in a world gone mad.

Filmmaker Marc Lahore (DO, L’AGENDA, PIRATE) directs an impassioned and beautiful film of resilience in the midst of disarray, and of fighting to find commonality and community by turning to a beloved sport, even when all seems lost.
