A chance encounter at a party between Luciana and Pedro results in them taking a life-changing trip to a picturesque Costa Rican forest.

Luciana (Kattia González) and Pedro (Fernando Bolaños) barely know each other but hook up at a party and leave together. When they wake up the next morning, Pedro announces that he is leaving town to visit the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National park to work on his thesis. Luciana doesn’t want to let Pedro go and on a whim, decides to tag along. The resulting journey is a new experience for her as the two of them spend time in a beautiful Costa Rican forest and end up forming an unexpected connection. Filmed in gorgeous black and white, VIAJE is an impressive second film from Paz Fábrega who visited CIFF in 2010 with her first film, COLD WATER OF THE SEA, which competed in the Mavericks competition. With her latest film, she depicts remarkable control of her material and has crafted a memorable film that is an honest, charming and mature depiction of relationships.

This film will be preceded by the short WILD CHILD
