My Dinner With Generation X

Year 2010
Runtime 81 mins
Language English

Director Brian Stockton is scheduled to attend.

Who is Generation X, really? And how is it that many of them now find themselves in middle age and still as directionless as ever? In My Dinner with Generation X, director Brian Stockton hits the road with a lifelong friend to get to the bottom of some questions that have haunted his generation for as long as he can remember. Talking to some familiar Gen Xers, including filmmakers Don Mckellar and Mina Shum, and writer and philosopher Mark Kingwell, Stockton uses interviews, re-enactments and vintage slacker footage to investigate what the baby boomers left for their slack-generation-children, and what they might be leaving behind for generations to come. This program also features three of Stockton's short films.
