Terry made a movie! Loose Moose alumnus David Lawrence, best known to metalheads the world over as FUBAR's Terry, will unveil his directorial debut at CIFF this year. A LEGEND OF WHITEY sees Lawrence reunite with Paul Spence and Andy Sparacino (Dean and Tron, respectively), along with a cast of Loose Moose veterans, but this time they're trading in the flannel and faded T-shirts for cowboy duds in 1880s Alberta.

Don't expect A LEGEND OF WHITEY to be “FUBAR goes west,” though. The story of two half-brothers on the run with a sacred white buffalo, Lawrence's Western shoots for a different kind of comedy, highlighting the range that this talented group of Calgary filmmakers and improv veterans is capable of. (Insider secret: since tracking down a trained albino buffalo is downright impossible, the group just painted a regular buffalo white. Movie magic!)

Shot over 20 days in Longview, Alberta and showcasing the province's spectacular scenery, A LEGEND OF WHITEY is bound to do for cowboy culture what FUBAR did for the now-beloved bangers, and use it as a springboard for memorable characters who truly tap into the Alberta spirit.
