Based on the wildly popular French comic book characters Asterix and Obelix, ASTERIX AND THE VIKINGS follows the two heroes as they try to train the hapless Justforkix “to be a man” and take responsibility for running his small Gaulish village. But not only is Justforkix more interested in sending messages to girls with his bird Shortmessageservix (or “SMS” for short), it’s not long before he’s captured by Olaf, the dull son of a Viking raider. It’s up to Asterix and Obelix to save the boy and repel the Vikings… but are the invaders all they seem to be?
With voice talent from Sean Astin (THE LORD OF THE RINGS), Paul Giamatti (BARNEY’S VERSION), Brad Garret (TV’s EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND), Greg Proops (TV’s JUST FOR LAUGHS), John DiMaggio (TV’s FUTURAMA) and Evan Rachel Wood (HBO’s TRUE BLOOD), ASTERIX AND THE VIKINGS chronicles a hilarious quest for manhood, courage and flat-packed, easy-to-assemble furniture.
