Angels Crest

Angels Crest

Year 2011
Runtime 92 mins
Language English
Canadian Premiere

The small town of Angels Crest reels with horror when a three year old boy is found frozen to death. Thomas Dekker (TV's THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES) plays Ethan, the boy's grieving young father who must contend with the judgement of his alcoholic, absentee ex-girlfriend, as well as a relentless local prosecutor (ENTOURAGE'S Jeremy Piven) who's determined to prove Ethan is responsible for his son's death. Emotions are as frozen and buried as the town itself in ANGELS CREST, and when they start to thaw, Ethan discovers the true nature of the people he once called friends and neighbours.

Working from the novel by the award-winning Leslie Schwartz (JUMPING THE GREEN), director Gaby Dellal carefully and tastefully observes the effects of profound tragedy in a minimal, almost documentary-like style. ANGELS CREST is Dellal's follow up to 2005's BAFTA-winning ON A CLEAR DAY.
