14A - Mature Subject Matter, Sexual Content
Barry Munday’s (Patrick Wilson, THE A-TEAM) prime focus in life is women. He is an unapologetic womanizer with no plans for commitment and no goals aside from setting up more dates. That is, until one day a bad decision leads to his getting a trumpet to the balls and losing his testicles. To add to the bad news, Barry is soon taken to court for a paternity test with recent conquest Ginger (Judy Greer). The kicker? He can’t remember who Ginger is.
Barry is a nerd and an obnoxious drunk who thinks he’s the coolest guy ever. Ginger is a cynical grump who wears oversized clothing and would go great lengths to avoid turning anyone on.
Chris D’Arienzo’s debut feature is an awkwardly funny, energetic film with an excellent cast that includes Malcolm McDowell, Chloe Sevigny and Cybill Shepard. With an offbeat story and countless memorable moments, it’s an anti-love story that will stick with you long after the screening ends.
