Youth by Youth Cinema Competition

The Calgary International Film Festival is pleased to present the Youth by Youth Cinema (YYC) Competition for aspiring student filmmakers--- both locally and abroad. YYC is designed to share our screens and stage with the budding filmmakers of tomorrow. In conjunction with school media programs and vested industry, CIFF hopes that YYC is the launch pad for these young talents and the bridge for them into our cultural industry of cinema and television.

Our Programming Committee will select the top films in each grade category for presentation during the Festival (Sept. 24-Oct. 3, 2010); a special YYC Jury will choose the winners of the competition with the awards being presented following the YYC screening and events.
