CIFF On Set
August 17, 2010. Lights, Camera, Industry Support: The Calgary film community mobilized en masse in Mount Royal recently to shoot a series of commercial spots for CIFF 2010. Finished product coming soon to a website, TV station or movie screen near you.
When the casting call went out for local directors, producers, actors, set designers, lighting technicians, makeup artists and wardrobe specialists to help pull together a series of video advertisements that would serve to spread the word about CIFF 2010 to the masses, the local film community answered.
Donating hundreds of hours of their time, talent and expertise, Calgary creative companies Zoom Communications and WAX Partnership moved mountains to bring the shoot to life, with the likes of Jeff Bradshaw, Trevor Alberts and John Kerr being but a few of the talented film industry players on set.
All in all, the one-day shoot served as an incredible show of support for a not-for-profit film festival that simply can’t go it alone, and resulted in a series of CIFF PSA's that audiences will surely get a kick out of when they begin airing in short order.
