In the quaint town of Ballymoran, Ireland, an alien dressed in a shiny red vinyl space suit and helmet is dead drunk on the Cassidy family’s living room floor.

The Cassidys are so mesmerized by the colorful personality of the so-called alien, Zonad (Simon Delaney), that they quickly take him into their lives. Overnight, they make him a celebrity in the town—he gets free beer, room and board, and even the daughter and wife think they can get in touch with a galaxy far, far away by sleeping with their alien. Zonad can pretty much have whatever he wants in the town. What no one realizes is that Zonad is actually Liam Murphy, an alcoholic who has escaped from a rehabilitation clinic with his best friend Bonad (David Pearse), who soon shows up to turn things around once again in this hilariously funny, offbeat sci-fi comedy from directors John Carney (director of Oscar® winner ONCE) and Kieren Carney.
