Giving a nod to director Bruce McDonald’s heroes Chrissie Hynde, Patti Smith, Joni Mitchell and Courtney Love, TRIGGER is the story of two rock ‘n’ roll women who once shared a friendship, a band and a whole lot of bedlam. A dozen years later, they meet again to reunite their band. While the egomaniacal lead singer is keen, the genius guitarist is reluctant. Like Daltrey and Townshend or Page and Plant, these two musicians are wedded for life whether they like it or not.

Over the course of one dramatic evening, they rediscover friendship, become inspired by rock ‘n’ roll all over again and reignite the chaos. TRIGGER stars Molly Parker (DEADWOOD, THE ROAD) and Tracy Wright (BLINDNESS, TWITCH CITY), with a supporting cast that includes Sarah Polley, Don McKellar and Callum Keith Rennie. The soundtrack comes courtesy of members of Broken Social Scene, Danko Jones, Change of Heart, Lioness and many more.
