Silvio Soldini, director of the acclaimed film BREAD AND TULIPS, examines questions of the heart from a new angle in his most recent film, COME UNDONE. Petite and pretty thirtysomething office worker Anna finds herself in a cozy but lacklustre relationship with Alessio, an easy-going handyman. By chance, she meets the virile Domenico, a waiter who assists at an event catered at her office. Beguiled by Anna, Domenico gives her his phone number. She texts him on a whim and they embark on an affair, even though Domenico confesses to having a wife and two children at home. The illicit lovers meet once a week for a few hours, but soon such trysts are not enough for Anna, who yearns for more. Set in the metropolitan city of Milan, this bittersweet drama poignantly addresses the struggles and sacrifices one makes for love, and all of the ensuing consequences.
