Peter Gray (James Le Gros), an egotistical celebrity chef with a cooking show on TV and a high-end restaurant job, is facing problems in his career. To make matters worse, a notoriously harsh food critic and blogger, JT Franks (Joshua Leonard of THE FREEBIE, also at CIFF 2010), publishes a scathing review of Peter’s restaurant, driving business away and costing Peter both his job and the show. Blaming JT for his loss, he kidnaps the critic for revenge—served to order!

In a remote cabin deep in the woods, Peter keeps JT chained up in the basement with a series of deceptively simple food challenges, punishing him sadistically for anything less than perfection. Super bloody and fun to watch, BITTER FEAST is a raw, witty, tortuous horror-comedy from director Joe Maggio and producer Larry Fessenden (THE LAST WINTER, I SELL THE DEAD).
