Cast & Crew
Jacqueline Dupuis, Executive Director
After a successful career in the private sector where watching films was merely a hobby and pastime, Jacqueline feels very fortunate to have been able to spend the last four years making films a part of her daily work. Jacqueline’s passion for Calgary as a local and international destination for culture is behind her drive to build a world-class film festival in the city she calls home. Some say that’s a tall order, but Jacqueline has never been one to shy away from a challenge! As for her taste in films, while somewhat eclectic and oftentimes reflective of her mood, Jacqueline most enjoys (and applauds) originality – in any language, genre or style.
Bruce Fletcher, Program Manager
10 years working with the local film and exhibition industry, Bruce left his job with the AFA film review board to have an adventure with his family in Hawaii where he programmed HIFF, which is now a well-known world-class film festival. Bruce then moved on to San Francisco where he continued to build his knowledge and programming skills as the director of programming of the San Francisco Independent Film Festival and eventually founded the Idaho International Film Festival in Boise. Bruce is a force to be reckoned with and is keen to join the CIFF team where he will have the opportunity to work once again with local industry and build on the success CIFF has achieved in building a world-class film Festival in Calgary.

With a background in arts and culture management, Brenda has been working in the media arts since 1999. Having been a full time programmer with CIFF since 2007, she is also the co-founder of the Calgary Underground Film Festival (2003). She has been actively involved with several other start-up festivals, including Barbados IFF and the new Calgary Latin Wave, and in 2009 was awarded Avenue Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 award.
