Smash Cut - Black Carpet Party

Wannabe filmmaker Able Whitman (David Hess) is drowning his sorrows at a local strip club after his latest ‘serious’ movie had the audience in hysterics. He meets the beautiful exotic dancer Gigi Spot but after drinking too much, and subsequently crashes his car and kills her outright.

Able needs to dispose of the body and decides it would be best to cut her up and spread her around the set of his new horror film with all the other blood, guts and gore. When the response to his new film footage is praised for its realism, the director believes he has no other choice but to keep on killing people for more body parts. Throwing a wrench in his plans, celebrated private detective Isaac Beaumonde is hot on Able’s trail after he realizes that a simple missing person case is in fact the first in a string of stomach turning murders.

An authorized homage to the films of 60s goremeister Herschell Gordon Lewis, SMASH CUT is a blood-spattered satire of the filmmaking industry and the challenges of independent filmmaking.
